The movie Julie and Julia, inspired me to give my own (modified) food adventure a go. My version being baking instead of cooking, and pure maple syrup in place of sugar. I am the amateur of all amateur bakers. I bake for my family and because they love me, they eat what I put in front of them (both the good and the bad). I’ll be taking a year (or so) to bake the nearly 300 recipes from Cookbook Hall of Famer, Maida Heatter’s Book of Great Desserts.
