I really must get in tune with my oven. Apparently it bakes at a much faster rate than dear Maida’s. Yet another baking experiment overdone. Aye, yai, yai. Unsurprisingly, it doesn’t look a thing like the original picture, but that’s okay. I don’t care what it looks like, I made a linzer torte. It was actually pretty tasty. Had it been a bit less done and had a side of ice cream (my husband’s 2 cents), it would have been even better. If nothing else, this baking adventure is a great reminder to never give up, even in the face of one baking attempt, or 300, gone wrong. It’s okay to laugh at yourself. I’ve done lots of that. I think it’s good for the soul.
And The Torte Is Done!
