Update On The Best Brownies Ever

I finally got around to starting the first recipe. After reading and drooling over it, it was quite the wait. One that will prove worth it (I hope!). Everything started off well enough. Like I mentioned before, I’m not a baker. When I make something, I rarely measure ingredients. A little of this and a little of that has worked for me so far. Not for this project. Nope. It’s going to be by the book (mostly). Measuring cups/spoons? Check! One thing, actually two things I do that drive my husband bananas, are not using a cutting board or a whisk. A plate and fork work just as well, right? Yeah, not for this recipe. The whisk quickly came out, as the fork just didn’t cut it. By the book it is!

Enter first road block. 3 3/4 cups sugar?! I almost fell over. I honestly could not make myself put that much maple syrup in. 2 cups sounded a smidgen better. Am I doomed already? We’ll see. Okay, back to mixing. I’ll let you know how it goes.

Fun fun fun prose! You inspire me! Thank you!!!! I tried a recipe recently that should have been flaky, light and buttery BUT it turned out dry, crispy and crumbled!!! The important thing is not to get discouraged and TRY try try again (and again)!
