The 7 Layer Dobosh Torte – Final

You Guys!! I made this! Me! Before starting this blog/challenge/experiment, I never would have even thought to attempt something like it. It was a lot of work and it sure would have been better had we gotten to try the finished product (we decided against it), but I am super excited to have done it. It’s not perfect, but it looks pretty darn good to me. And you can bet I will be on the lookout for raw eggs in any future recipes. Until next time, your very amateur baker, Becki.

P.S. I did have a bit of batter leftover and with it made one extra layer. I am happy to report it was delicious and had just the right touch of sweetness. Mmmmm….just imagine what 7 of them covered in chocolate would have tasted like. Never mind! No imagining! Don’t think about it!

The cake looks great. Look out Becky you will be asked to bring the delicious treats to all the events you are asked to over the holidays. I hope I get to try one of them some day. Enjoy the sweet treats.

Hi! You are so sweet! Thank you, thank you, thank you! It’s been fun. I sometimes look ahead in the cookbook and think many of the recipes look quite daunting, but I’m excited for the challenge. Thank you for cheering me on!
